I am Not Afraid of Storms…
It’s easy to love the sunny days... right? The smooth, calm waters where the horizon is clear. But I know that the ocean of life doesn’t stay quiet for long. The wind will howl. The waves will rise. And sometimes, it feels like everything is conspiring to sink your vessel...I just have to learn how to sail my ship... I Don’t fear storms... I Don’t hide from crises either... Storms are inevitable. Hardships will come. Moments will shake you to your core... I was never meant to be a victim of the sea... No. When you are in the middle of that howling wind, that’s when the real training begins. Every hardship you face isn't a roadblock, it is a masterclass... You were meant to become the navigator... You are learning to harness the winds... gaining the scars that turn into survival skills... Every crashing wave is a lesson... Every dark cloud is aligning your thoughts... Every trembling moment is teaching your hands how to hold the wheel steady... I am sailing not drowning... I am becoming not breaking... We are not designed to be victims of our circumstances, waiting for the weather to change... No. We are built to be captains... It is in the chaos, in the uncertainty, in the storm, that you discoveryour strength... Don't paddle against the current in fear... Grip the helm... Turn your ship, raise your sails, and embrace the storm... It is the storm that will teach you how to overcome the obstacles of life... you'll sail through storms that once terrified you... with a determination that no waves can take away... Kerp learning to sail... Carl Nicolas. © 2026 Carl R Nicolas |
