Why Should I Worry?
Why should my heart beat faster with the weight of tomorrow’s anticipated struggles. Why? The sea is raging... Yes, it is raging. But those waves will be blocked, under a higher, Divine authority... Tomorrow’s frustrations? They are arrogant, aren’t they? They will come on their own, and when they do, they will be dealt with, by the one standing beside me... The waves may rise, the winds may shout, but even the storms must bow to a greater voice... Tomorrow, with all its weight, will arrive in its own time... And when it does, it will not find me empty-handed… for Grace will meet me there... Why suffer today for a pain that hasn’t arrived? Why let fear rehearse a future not yet written? This moment, now, this breath, is wide open... Filled with blessings I have yet to notice, with mercies I have yet to touch, with quiet miracles waiting to be seen... I will not be consumed by anxiety, because I am not alone... What feels uncontrollable will be leveled... What feels unstoppable will be stopped in its time... Don't be paralyzed. Don't live in a future that hasn't happened... This isn't pretending the fire isn't hot. It is choosing not to let fear hold the steering wheel of your soul... There is a hand steadying the chaos… A shield walking beside me through every unknown... I choose trust over fear. Faith over panic. Serenity over predictions... Grace is always sent on time, when the trial arrives, the strength will be waiting... I will not live ahead of my life. I will not drown in imagined storms... Be still. Enjoy the divine blessings of this moment... Why should I worry… when I walk with Him? Carl Nicolas. © 2026 Carl R Nicolas |
