What do I see?

I notice things
I notice when you don't notice
That I haven't been writing as much as I should

I notice things in myself
That others can't see
That others won't see
Because they haven't asked

I notice when I'm slipping
When I'm falling back into selfish measures
And living for number one
When I don't stop to notice others

I notice things
I notice the pitiless gaze of the mirror man
I notice how you look at him
Even when you don't notice I'm doing so

I notice others
Sometimes when I shouldn't
When I need to notice me
And in the silent moments
When I need to be noticed
And no one notices

We do find ourselves not stopping and pausing to notice others...and when we notice us..ourselves we find things we like and some we dont...
