Rain

Rain

A Poem by Calibaster

Drip.

Drip drop.

Plop.

The pavement is slapped.

Drop.

Drop drip.

Plop.

Rain falls.

Doink.

Ripple ripple ripple,

Trickle trickle trickle.

I drown in the rain's symphony.

Doink.

Plop.

Drip.

Dribble dribble dribble.

Drop.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

Doink.

Plop.

The sunlight streams through a tear in the clouds.

Drip.

A stray beam catches a drop.

A rainbow spreads.

Ploink.

I like :
The sunlight streams

This is really cool. I like how you changed up how many words were in the lines. It has got a steady rhythm to it much like rain would, but then the statements that fall between give it character.
