This is It; No Common Ground

This is It; No Common Ground

A Poem by Kaspar Carr
"

its how it works

"

A ring of death
Sits around my neck
In wait.

Watching,
Hoping.
For the moment
That I end.

The days go bye,
And everyone I know cries.
The destruction has begun.
There's nothing to save anyone.

A school bus crashes,
Children die.
A brother is lost,
A car brakes down,
There's no more time to buy.

Like an hour glass,
We all tick away.
Falling through that hole,
Like a sunset.

Lives lost,
Hatred bred.
A baby is born,
But there's no more bread.

A job lost.
A boss to hate.
No boss at all.
And yet we can't relate?

We have nothing in common,
But the blood in our veins.

Nothing in common,
But the end of our days.

Chilling...but true! This write is full of gloom and doom. Sad to say, I like what you have done with it.
