Undone

alll the words i had planned to tell you where lost

My words have come undone,
they slip and slide from my mind.
I cannot control or emphasize what is said,
I just can't get you out of my head.

slowly spilling out or stuck inside,
there's no reason or rhyme,
it's just you- all the time.

it's a constant battle inside my head,
words and thoughts fighting until the end-
is it near?

I can hear the truth and see the lie,
I tell my mind to just shut up and comply.

They get scrambled and jumbled inside this crazy world,
mix and match what you want to hear, it's not hard some say it's crystal clear.

elephant shoe or did i mean 'I love you'?

they start to come back together, like a thousand puzzle pieces-it takes time.

all these mixed emotions, thoughts and words float around in an abyss of mine- intertwined.

it's like a set gun ready to be undone.
