The Boy Always Waiting

The Boy Always Waiting

A Poem by Kaspar Carr
"

This is all i can do is just wait.

"

My eyes keep on lingering,
Back to the clock on the wall.
I try to fight back, choking on tears,
Praying that you might call.

You keep on telling me,
I'm the one you need.
Yet, you're still home.. with him,
No matter how much I plead.

You tell me over and over,
To just keep waiting on you.
Baby, I've been waiting 11 months,
Even after all you've put me through.

I never thought I'd be,
Here without you by my side.
I should of saw it coming,
The very first time you lied.

No one even begins to compare,
To your brown eyes, your dark hair.
They could give me the entire world,
I'd still never need them like air.

I can't do it anymore,
What you're asking isn't fair.
After all I've done for you,
Why should I have to share?

So, I'll lay alone in bed tonight,
Torn up inside, still debating.
It doesn't matter what I say or do,
I'll be the boy always waiting.
