I've spent the last few days,
Comforting myself.
I've spend the last few days,
Knowing I was by myself.
I've spent the last few days,
Hoping for you to get a mind.
I've spent the last few days,
Being anything but fine.

I've spent the last few hours,
Remembering what we did.
I've spent the last few hours,
Getting butterflies in my stomach.
I've spent the last few hours,
Hoping you would love me too.
But I've spent my whole life,
Looking for someone like you.

Canaan, you have a beautiful soul and the way you unleash it in a form of poetry is just so beautiful and so underrated. This poem just speaks out to me, because I can bravely say that I can relate to this. The repetition used is just so effective... Beautiful...
