Day’s Recollection

Day’s Recollection

A Poem by Caoilte Setanta

Murky lime colored water, floating
Sticks and leaves.
Creeping heard all around the dusty floor.
Birds, squirrels and raccoons roam free!

Many tourists and foreign languages,
Strangers nearly colliding in canoes.
Castles hidden behind the forest,
Missing a step will leave you with a bruise.

Colorful insects and creepy crawlers,
Ripples echoing in the pond.
Wind shattering leaves so silent,
Enchanting them in dance… nature's wand!

Back now in the courtyard,
Neighbors are strangers still.
Back now beneath window charms,
Freeloading vagrant, I see no bill!
