words creating images

I strive,
to make these thoughts
into something more
than mere words

driving at night through
the middle of no where.
two lane road, more ups
and downs
than any theme park ride

stuck in slow time
behind a van that
just won't rush

a cool summer night,
windows down
reveal a cool breeze
and every so often
a foul scent
that the countryside
could not cover up
with it's sweet aroma.

A look to the left
reveals a dark blue canvas
frame in tall trees

a picture so perfect,
starry night, wisp of cloud
ever changing in my quest home
more or less reveals itself
throught the trees

on my hilly retreat
from this beautiful place

I wish I had someone to
share this with
because it's beauty
will never be the same twice.
