Dancing in heaven

Dancing in heaven

A Poem by Carla Visagie
"

A poem about the journey of grief

"

The light on the porch is dark

No more reason to leave it on,

No more key left for you under the rug with the watermark

You are no longer coming back

You left me waiting on a ghost

Now you are dancing in heaven

And I am not there

Scared to love again,

To let anyone else in,

Just another person to loose

Like a moth to the flame

I find myself caught

Wings burning, fluttering in the shadows

In the memory of you

The words of good bye I never got to say

Choking me and suffocating me

Waiting for your call,

Knowing it will never come,

There are no landlines or cell phones in heaven
