~ The Honey Bees ~ 🐝

I began this poem in 2007, for my soon to be 8 years old granddaughter Rebecca. This poem started my poetry journey of fun with words.

~  The Honey Bees  ~

We are two happy little honey bees

Buzzing here and zipping there

We zip from flowers, to bushes, to trees

 And have much fun flying through the air.

We love collecting flower dust

And then turn it into honey

Dip your fingers in it, if you must

And lick its sweetness - yummy yummy!

Very sweet (pardon the pun)! My next door neighbor has beehives, and we have many fruit trees and other flowering plants and trees, and in spring and early summer, those flowering plants are alive with Steve's bees.
You can hear the fruit trees buzzing when you pass them.

yes i like bees, as well as all the other pollinators such as bats, birds & small tree dwelling mammals. bats/flying foxes are actually forest creators with their droppings.
