Drifting

floating upwards

Escaping the darkness

where the lost reside

 

Upwards

Eternity beckons

calls my name

death’s embrace denied

 

Glorious light

warmth

love 

peace

fills me

I drown in its beauty

 

Flying through space

endless time

I travel beyond the known

to mysteries unspoken

As for the poem have you ever had an outer body experience? It kind of feels like that's the calmness one feels at least that's what I perceived through this piece. I haven't had one but my mother has and she described it to me. She said it was the most collectively calm and peaceful feeling she has ever experienced but she was scared to leave us behind so she struggled back down into herself. I wanted to know what she was smoking but apparently she still states that it really happened like a vivid dream. Great write
