Nobody Cares

I don’t want to talk about it

I don’t want to say

I don’t want to voice

that which brings me pain

 

I’ll be ok

you know

you don’t have to care

I’m used to walking alone in this world

with nobody there

 

No shoulder to cry on

no arms to hold

no one to cuddle up to

when the nights are bitter and cold

 

I’ll just keep deep inside

all the pain that I feel

anyway

all the years of abuse

no longer seem real

 

I’ve locked them away

in a dark secret place

So no one has to pay

no consequences faced

 

After all

what do I matter

I’m nobody’s child

I’m a loner

a vagabond

something untamable and wild

 

The world will keep spinning

whether I live or I die

not many would notice

only a few would cry

 

But I guess I’ll keep going

for the sake of the few

Though the scars are deep

from abuse old and new

 

Inside I bleed

from every rip and tear

But they all got away with it

because nobody cares

Loneliness is all that I'm feeling. Reach out there are people there all you need do is ask for some help in overcoming this pain and sorrow and feelings of worthlessness. I understand you lack self confidence in your being but as soon as you open up and remove this piercing dagger from your soul you will find inner peace. Very sad and am feeling slightly overwhelmed.

This poem is full of sadness and perhaps bitterness and anger at life and how youve been treated by it. I like the line nobody's child, that sums up the whole poem well for me. I think that however pointless life might seem there is always something to live for. This is very thought provoking

This was just beautiful. There is no better adjective than that. You have really nice rhyming patterns, and the ending was solid and, in my opinion, perfectly written!
I've noticed in the last couple poems that I've read, that they have a sort of musical quality to them. It kind of reminds of Dr. Sues! But in a grown up, non kid-ish way! :)
And for the record, you would be missed. It's great that you've decided to keep moving forward even if there's only a couple people, you think, that care. They're the ones that really count!

Thank you Miranda and yeah there is always a good reason to keep going even when we feel that the world is closing in on us. There is the other side of life which is the joy and peace that comes from our faith and from those we love and who love us. Days like this are few thank goodness, but it is good to purge them on paper, very healing I think.

The poem is filled with sadness and disappointment. Everybody bleed and suffer. Some people can leave the misery behind. I believe all of us must find our place. Find people with same goals and find a good reason to live. A lot of pain and suffering to assist. I like the honest thoughts and directness of the poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.
