early morning coffee blues

early morning coffee blues

A Poem by carpe noctem
"

I don't know exactly what I want to write so it probably wont turn out too well.....

"

Who are you?

an empty counter in a diner

I want to meet you

pot of joe drank down to dreggs

some connection.............any connection

jukebox dredging out mr cash

is there anybody out there?

theres something about 4 am

                      -makes one dead inside-

just looking for place I really could call home.

sitting in the parking lot just a big ashtray

I should probly be somewhere

people leaving work graveyard shift

I need sleep

never underestimate

the comfyness of parkbenches

lying on an empty wallet

(Pfftt... No it doesn't...!) There's an intence depth here thats intriguing to read.
I love how you express yourself without the usual doom and gloom and woe is me that is all too often a feature of writing that deals with deep emotion.
I love the imagery... I read it several times absorbing the visual. The little details that create the scene, the scene that opens that connection, the connection to the underlying emotion (if that makes sence!?!)
I personally feel theres an honesty here that adds to the intensity and creates true depth... it gives the reader an honest glimpse through your eyes. Wonderful write ;)
