I re-read Dryden and London yesterday. Here are some quotes and thoughts.

Quotes from London, Dryden and me.

"Marriage is dead, when the pleasure had fled."
                   John Dryden

"Can love be a blessing, or worth the possessing, can life be a blessing
if love were away.'
                         John Dryden

"What peace can be, where both to one pretend"
                       John Dryden

"Kiss we and part; no further can we go; And better death than we go high to low
should dwindle, or decline from strong to weak,"
                       Jack London

"Did the gods sleep? I wondered. Or were they dead?"
                       Jack London

"Never was lovers ecstasy like theirs.  They had not killed love with kisses."
                         Jack London

"When we learn. The goal of life isn't for us to have everything. We have gained wisdom."
                        John Castellenas/Coyote

"Writers must live and live some more. Drink from life ventures and never regret what we didn't do.
Drink, dance and hold many lovers, make the pen come alive and fearless. We need  tales and stories
from a person who have lived and learn.  Everyday is a new opportunity."
        John Castellenas/Coyote

I particularly like the last two - a Poet's world is one of recording seconds, hence we can capture life and feel alive - good reminder! To gain wisdom - well, I will take that any day and not feel so lost in the world of dreams, we all too often covet so many things, when really, life isn't meant to be hard and so difficult - powerful quotes love, made me think x

I liked the idea of creating a collective behind individual quotes, I think they meld together to capture a philosophical beauty. Lovely :)

Of course. I always enjoy your thoughts. I have been remiss in visiting. Wallowing in gook up to my eyeballs, finally coming up for air.
