Blind fury

Blind fury

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

I'm tire of war. How many more will die for the greed of war? Who will learn new tears that won't ever end?

"
       Blind fury

Is war alive I asked?
Somewhere written in time. It was said.
"You want war, it is available."

I saw the World War two graveyards where 20,000 men are resting near Paris. They died believing this would be the last war. I saw woman and children falling  on a fresh grave learning their father was gone. I prayed in Military churches. Names of Soldiers who never made it home on all four walls. There is no letters written from the dead. War take the great cities, human life and leave a lifetime of sadness for the family.

My country, the land of milk and honey led by Berserkers.   Lobbyist living off young men and women blood. USA had 300 bases throughout the world and spend 1.2 trillion dollars on war.  We should be marching in the streets against the wars where our soldiers are just doing police actions for people who do not want us.

No-more war please. Send food, water and medicine. Not weapons and soldiers. I believe war is blind fury. Liars and profiteers create hate and separation. Rich contractors don't care about your son and daughter. A Nation based on blood. What are we?

I saw 40 plus countries and I was lucky. President Bill Clinton send me on four food, water and medicine missions to Africa and Bosnian. We open closed doors in Africa. A friendly hand reaching out in friendship and assisting people in need. Can take away a thousand years of hate and separation.

I learn. We are the same.  We want shelter, a safe place to live for our children and opportunity for work and schooling. People in Asia don't awake wanting to kill us. People in Europe and Africa don't begin the new day wanting to send their children to war. I learn all of us want to grow old, have grandchildren at our feet and know laughter.

And we left a better world for them than we had? War is man's sin. I'm tire of war.

War is human ego run amuk … we must find our connectedness that lies within and then there will be no war … we are all the same as this marvellous poems alludes.

War will never cease...we know that --- Coyote...I was part of that campaign to Bosnia --- and Africa and the rest of the Med...yet I see where you are putting your feet forward...with this verse...the idea again is not that freedom is truly free...or we would not spend 1 plus trillion on the matter of military presence in the entire world...great nations fall and those that are great want to stay in position...and our armed forces are a security blanket...at times --- we go places even in peace time and do the job...we signed the dotted line and took the oath...nothing else really matters...from that point on...until you get out of the service...we adapt and overcome...and the line between love and hate is crossed every once in awhile...War is inevitable...nothing can stop it...only we live with 4 walls, a roof and a floor called a safe haven...anyone can come in if they really want to do damage...

You wrote a nice piece in memory of those who died. Will war ever end? I am not sure about that, too much interest is at stake for those in control. I can only imagine how money currently spent of war could be used in more humanitarian ways.

I pray for the day when war become a myth. Thank you for reading and the comment.
This accurately depicts my thoughts on war. I find it a waste of lives and time killing each other off rather than just having a civilized discussion between leaders of the countries having a dispute. Now of course, I may be biased since my father just so happens to be in the military and is deployed, but either way, it seems completely pointless.

Your poem reminds me of my father - a decorated surgeon in World War II. Although he was proud to fight for his country, I remember him telling me - "I am a man of words, not war - a man of healing, not death".

Your poem is powerful and honest.

So true and your welcome
Though most people want to end violence in all of its forms no one has ever seemed to be able to come up with a solution to this epic problem short of trying to force others to not be violent by way of other acts of violence. Every side in every war in history has fought under the assumption that they were fighting to end all violence. In Medieval Europe, there were hundreds or years of Wars of Religion, each side thinking itself to be on the side of Right. Early on in the Western Hemisphere, Europeans thought that they were civilizing Native Americans. At the beginning of World War One, Kaiser Bill thought that Germany was civilizing the world, and later on in World War Two Japan, Italy, and Germany thought that they were civilizing the world. Later during the Cold War it was the Soviet Union who thought the same. Now Moslem Radicals think they are civilizing our world. If we have any more civilizing, this might drive our species into extinction. How do we break out of this cycle of species self-mutilation whereby we must fight to stop fighting? Perhaps some day our computers shall be intelligent and powerful enough to decide the fate of our species in their own way as we lose control of our weapons of amass destruction. to them thus putting us all that their mercy. Have a happy Memorial day! “Blessed are the Peace Keepers for they shall inherit the Earth…“.
