Dream a little dream

Dream a little dream

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

Just words. Enjoy.

                              Dream a little dream
The Dark Poet didn't want to see the  light.
The pretty Poet demanded attention and answer.
She told him,  all of us need to dream a little dream.
He glimpsed at her pretty face and questioning eyes and he told her.
Love is on a silken thread. Easily shattered. The terrain of love can be captured
and lost. It is a dangerous dance. The splendor of love can be a symphony of
wild nights and days. Flourish like the Spring flowers. Then in the cold days of
Fall. Majestic love can become quiet and tamed.
The kind woman smiled and begin to draw a picture. Simple drawing of two people
dancing near the sea. She had a rainbow bright above the dancing lovers. She smiled and told him.
I have painted you the sea, the dance and the rainbow for the want of love. Love is like a rainbow.
Filled with color and beauty. To behold and know love. Must rise and fall often. No easy place to find
the proper location of real love. The Dark Poet smiled and looked at the delightful beauty. He saw
a solace of kindness and boundless energy.
He told her. Dear Poet. Men are like glass. Easily broken. Love is twisted and imperfect. We want too
much and not enough. What would you do with me?  I misused love and left everything for the thirst
for war and death. War and death were not kind. Just renewal my hunger to live and find new places
and goals.
She knew she had took down the smoke screen of fear. She told him. Lets buy some wine and wait for
the water to come and retreat. In the morning. Maybe we can travel and create a never ending friendship.
Better to laugh and dance than wait for death. Death will come.
The Dark Poet remembered, once love was holy, holy was love. He agreed and two Poets wander to the Monterey Bay.  He knew war was never ending and love can exist if the heart is fearless and unafraid.

Thank you. I appreciate the comment.
nicely penned. i liked how the poetress handled his coldness to make a little change ..to give him inspiration to dream, yet, poet has to live with reality, but sometimes a few moments of joy in sad time worth a lot.
