Read to me my dear lover

Read to me my dear lover

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just words

"

Read to me my dear lover

Longing, belonging, needing and believing.

You are my reasons to live my love.

Falling, soaring and flying to new heights in hope and dreams.

Please sweet love. Read to me my darling.

Allow me to fall into your sweet voice.

Take me to a better and sweeter place.

Hold me, caress me with gentle fingers and hands.

Sing sweet song making me believe.

You are my love and I’m safe in your arms.

Well, i like the poem. I'll point out a few parts that could be improved.

" Read to me my daring."
ok...isn't that supposed to be: " Read to me my darling."

next up...

" Take me to better and sweeter place."

it's missing an "a" = " Take me to a better and sweeter place."

this last one can be done in two good ways.. " Sing sweet song making me believe." could be : " Sing a sweet song making me believe." or " Sing sweet songs, making me believe." or " Sing me a sweet song making me believe." or " Sing me sweet songs making me believe."
well that's more than two...lol. overall it's a great poem. 100 points.

when I was very young and smitten, thinking myself a romantic of sorts, I learned Walter Benton's
"This Is My Beloved". I mean, every word. I use to recite it to myself and my imaginary lover
in the half basement of my Fathers home. I thought of that wonderful book when I read these
lines of yours......It almost has that same, continuous feel to it....Thank you for sharing that
old memory with me again...dana

Thank you Dana. The best days are the quiet days. Good conversation and good company.
Coyote;
I believe you're an old softy. This poem has a good rhythm and flow. A couple of things, 'read to me my darling' & 'take me to a better', these are minor things. This is close to perfect.
