My California

My California

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Some words

"

                  My California

Azure sky, chaos Pacific ocean, my lover.
The stormy sea,
the murmur of the sea,
whispered to me.
Love may slumber, war are never-ending and we shall remember the sweetest kisses.

In 1991, I found the sea.
The gale of Winter was alive in the early Storms of December.
I took my shoes off and I danced with her.
She whispered to me, "Let's go of the heaviness and weariness you carry,
follow me seaward like the dancing wind.
Holy Poet, please sing to me.
Please sing songs of the flowers of the sea,
of roses given, of the great evensongs sang by wayward lovers.
make me believe, in the blessed emblazoned by the gypsies souls.
Please make me smile".

I danced with her for hours and the moon-tide made her become wild and free.
She awoke my sleepless heart and I whispered to the moon, the stars.
Thank you dear California, my California.
Thank you for the honor to be able to see the sea, to be able to dance with the powerful waves and
thank you for showing me.

I am small and the sea is endless.
I know now, we must follow the sea of faith,
find the place where you know the hush of peace,
know a multi-color world and each day is a blessing.

Dancing with the sea....great concept! There is something so peaceful about running through the waves. If the sea could talk, she would tell us to look for the colors in the world and to embrace them. Yes, the sea is endless, but your words help us wrap ourselves in her beauty. You obviously love the state you live in. Beautifully written. Lydi**

You have a distinct voice in your pieces, do you know this? So much so that if I was sitting with my back to you in a public place, I would realize this voice was familiar. ( : I guess that comes from so many years of reading your pieces.
California, ocean tides, dancing in moonlight, The Pacific does have healing qualities to be sure... perfect moment relived.

One of my favorite places too.
Almost all your writings include some female human at the heart of your message. I love this one especially becuz there is NOT a female human in it. I love that you're personifying the ocean as your lover. I feel exactly this way about this part of California. My spirit is very much tied to living here. This is a beautifully uninhibited & lively way to express how it feels to frolic here (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You're very welcome 👍
A very beautiful tribute by both you nd Beth Hart to California. Loved the closing stanza as the scene of the beach and the waves and the untamed sea is portrayed then sundued in those final down to earth sobering lines.
