Coyote.... it is so sad to think that people waste love but it is true. I have seen it, and it is so sad.
'Just forgiveness and the locked door to be open again.' ... but what if it's too late? If they've moved on? If they can't forgive?
It's heartbreaking. I've been the lady alone, I unlocked the door so many times but could only open it two....
Loved this, really great work. You have a gift for telling stories.

And I imagine that even the cruellest of hearts won't forget.
What a torrid subject, loved fought for, music pillaged, and all the while we stand and stare in disbelief, well done, good read my friend.

Good Morning Sir,
I just have to express my whopping gratitude for this poem, a subject after my heart. Being someone who loves his drink, your words made deep inroads into my heart. Yes, who says we drink to forget? We drink to remember!
"just made the inferno memory of her."
"Now the Irish whiskey making me know fire and brimstone."
Yes. That's how it goes!
Forgotten love, broken bonds, bitterness, locked doors, they all melt away for we are creatures of love and made to love. The whiskey here symbolizes an ambrosia for a thinking, musing, loving heart.
Your poems bring back the magic of past love every time. You have known every shade, hue and colour of its beauty and you are a very blessed poet! Kudos!

You're welcome sir.
I watch the footage of the Newport festival in 68 last night and was intrigued at how early rock and roll had it's very tentacles in American blues. Joplin, Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, James Cotton, the Who....all of them touched on the blues at this festival, not just as lyric drawings, but to signify (as you have) that blues and loss is the prophetic marvel in which most "true" love affairs exist....Beautifully written...dana
