The golden Dust

The golden Dust

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Some words.

"
The golden Dust
We didn't know. Life move so damn fast and we cannot stop time.

I wondered. Did you know me? Did I know you?

Now our silence whispers of love words are rarely heard and the old photos.
Just remnants of what we were.

Did I seek the hidden sadness in your eyes? I believe women are more layered
than men. Rarely doe a woman allow a man to see her inner secrets and secret fears.

I believe woman are like the mountains.  If you try to understand and appreciate.
You will find new ridges of sadness and secret waterfalls of tears.

A lucky man will be blessed with love words. She will whisper, I have loved and
I have lost myself in you.

I remembered when you held me like a child. I tried to linger in the madness, in the gift of love.
I remember on a golden dust, you released your white Summer dress, bare your breasts to me and
you danced for me and the lights of the candles to Leonard Cohen songs.

Now we became strangers and I remember the girl who loved the hot days and the strong whiskey.
I paint landscape of us with my words.

Landscape of two people, afraid of nothing and willing to dance the waltz of love.

I asked the half moon, the liar moon. Does love die? Does love fade away to fairy tale wishes?

I asked the dancing sea. Did I know her? Did I show my real face?

The golden Dust is here and I fall to the feet of my lover,
I told her. You are my everything and everything is you.
Let's lock the door, put some music on.
Please tell me what you need? What you want?

Coyote, I don't pretend to know women. Still, I think you've captured what most men would write if they had your ability. What you've also captured in the essence of intimacy, making yourself vulnerable and willing to not only open yourself to understanding but to her scrutiny. While women might conceal feelings and fears, they hold deep reserves of love, often for us, which they share generously when we show our true core. That's what you've done here. Remarkable piece, sir.

Over quite a few years, john, have read about your past friendships et all, found them very moving at times - warm, genuine. But this, dear friend, is the very best of all. You've found what love means and expressed it in so many gloriously sensitive and thoughtful ways..

' I believe woman are like the mountains. If you try to understand and appreciate. - You will find new ridges of sadness and secret waterfalls of tears. - A lucky man will be blessed with love words. She will whisper, I have loved and - I have lost myself in you. '

We must, if we don't. We will fall one by one. I pray we do the right things.

Gee
As we age lust turns to true love, a need to be close, have the companionship and understanding of our long term mate. This though seemingly becoming rarer and rarer as marriage now just another disposable commodity.
When found our true love must be cherished forever else life led with nowt but memories and regrets...well I think so( 29 years with my good lady)

You are right my friend. Love become more sweeter with time. Thank you for reading and the comment.
The simple and effective description of gender and attributes towards women, is outstanding here, delicate and ferocious at the same time, well done, good read.

Thank you Thomas. Us men, we are hard to understand also.
Even though Sexual passion may die with some when getting older I believe love never dies we are still the same people so when you invite her in and close the door and ask her what she needs she needs a kiss a cuddle and music on to go drift off to sleep with you holding close and wake up with you and morning coffee and toast in bed But when she was young and they were both young yes a few drinks loud music dancing 💃 wild sex etc etc that’s just me my opinion ok
Loved your poem by the way
