Lover or liar?

Lover or liar?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Hope Winter song and some words.

"

Lover or liars?

Would you? Could you my love?
I know we are just dancers upon the earth,
loaning and borrowing kisses and the love embrace.

Are we, a tragic love story,
or seeking a happy ending where love can bloom to a beautiful Summer rose?

Are you my killer? Are you my savior?
Are we just dancers seeking safe place,
warm heart.

Are we lovers or liars?
My sweetest love,
you have captivated my mind,
you make me believe.

I am brave enough to love you.
I pray to the moon, I pray to the stars and
I tell the morning sun.

I love you more than my need to escape.
Please stay with me till the Winter of our life.
Be the hand I can hold when I am afraid,
be the kind face that make me smile when I am sad.

Let's write a lullaby to the moon, to the stars.
Of two people,
who held on and never forget the gift of love.

Well, I believe we can either be lovers or liars, dear Coyote, which one all depends on the courage we have in our hearts and the willingness in which we like to share it with another. I see far too many people afraid of love and hiding behind mental barriers built from a past heartbreak or deception. In such cases they lie to themselves about what they really desire and need and when they actually do take a chance on love they are always lying to another with the tentativeness that dwells within. I say, give yourself to love and your love for another wholeheartedly and never look back. For to love, is to live, and from all your writing I have read so far, your ability to give love has lead you on a wonderful life journey. I enjoy your writes of life experience and the romanticism that lies within your words. Much enjoyed, this one, too!

Thank you dear Jamila. If we use lies. Love is balance on wishes and tale.

Lovers or Liars? Perhaps, we are both in measures. Sometimes, things are said in the moment. That moment is beautiful yet once it has passed, the fervour with which we said those words does not remain anymore. Those words then may sound like lies. Yet the moment was so truly beautiful and every word was meant in it. I appreciate the longing expressed in your words. We want to hold on to our passion knowing that all wonderful things are transient. I love the vulnerability I felt, reading this poem! Thanks for sharing.

i feel that at least the speaker in this poem is a lover...the subject spoken to, we are unsure.
I love the idea of kisses being a transaction ...loaning, borrowing...maybe we just rent this life of ours, maybe we don't own it at all.

I do believe we do. Nothing can be owned. Thank you Jacob for reading and the comment.
"Let's write a lullaby to the moon, to the stars. Of two people, who held on and never forgot the gift of love." Such true and inspiring words. I really enjoy this, much like I do most of your work lol but this is so hopeful and made me smile thank you!
