You don't love me no-more

Tonight she wanted to be beautiful,
she shaved her legs and she wore her lace black stocking.
She have been feeling lonely and she wanted someone to see her.
She fixed her hair with a gentle brush, brushing slow and easy,
allowing her hair to fall into her back.

She looked in the mirror and
her green eyes looked so heavy with sadness and she wished,
she could taste the need of love someone again.

It was a Friday night and she knew, the poet Johnnie,
would be drinking the three dollar Long Ice teas till nine pm at the Belton dance hall.
She would wear her tight red dress and she told the face in the mirror.
Sometimes, somethings we can't forgive. Maybe the Texas night will allow a wish or a miracle?

She left her house at seven pm and she drove to the dance hall. She saw Johnnie blue Dodge truck.
She sat in her car and she remembered. Johnnie the soldier left for a year, some foolish war somewhere.
She found company and in late December, he returned and he saw her with him.
She remembered she raised her eyes-up and she saw his face. She saw his tears fall and he walked away.

She left the dance hall that night and she never returned. Her heart fell and she told the Texas half-moon, he don't love me no-more. I killed a sweet love. She left her car and she entered the dance hall and she saw Johnnie sitting alone, holding the Long Ice tea, like his last love.

She went to him and she gently touched his shoulder and she whispered. Hello Johnnie. He turned to her and he looked at her beautiful face and her eyes felled with sorrow. He smiled and he told her. Hello Lola, you are looking wonderful tonight.
You are a blessing for my old eyes to see. She waited for a embrace, a kiss, something.  She saw in his eyes, just a sadness. She whispered to him. Johnnie, Johnnie, I am sorry. You didn't write from Africa for six months and I thought you forgot me. I saw in your eyes in December. You never stop loving me.

He stood-up and he embraced her tightly, kissed her forehead, her face and her lips. He told her. We are careless dear Lola, we miss nothing till we don't have her no-more. Lola, Loa, when love died. love died hard and painful. We were careless and I am the one to blame. The death and bad things in Africa kept me so busy. I forgot everything. When I saw you with your new friend. I accepted the blame and I knew, I forsaken you.

She touched his face softly and she whispered. Us, who love folly and drink. We get what we deserve. After I saw your face in December. I knew, I killed the sweetest love I ever knew.  He brought her closer and he whispered, you look so damn beautiful tonight. You smell like the Texas wildflowers, my favorite red dress and those legs. You make a man, wish and pray for everything sweet. It is April dear Lola. The world is coming alive and my beautiful orchid. I missed you.

She caressed his hair, his face and she whispered. I died a thousand deaths since you walked away from me. Please hold me,
kiss me like you missed me. He looked into her sad eyes and he told her. Us, who had forsaken love often, we know pleasure and pain. We love the taste of sadness. I forgave you and I never stopped loving you. You were my midnight pray in the Africa heat, my daily pray to know joy and to see your beautiful face. It is April dear Lola. Tonight the half-moon is above us, the liar moon. Our favorite. If you want. I will follow to hell and back.

Lola took a step backward and she looked at her soldier. She asked him. Do I know you? Do you know me? I fear the ending before the beginning Johnnie. Are we just thieves and liars Johnnie. He went to her and he whispered. We are just dancers on the storm. We are just people who need to feel loved and needed. If you still love me. I will follow you home and never let you go.

Soft tears fell her eyes and she whispered. I love you my Johnnie and my door is wide open for you. Please dance with me tonight at the dancehall, make me feel beautiful and needed again. Please make me laugh and smile again. He smiled and he took her hand and they went to the dance floor. Willie was singing softly a slow song and he told her. Maybe we can stay ahead of the devil my dear Lola. Maybe we can lose the emptiness?

One of your best stories becuz your storyline is multi-dimensional & more complex than many of your other stories. This is something I really enjoy in a story . . . twists & turns, unexpected sentiments, wondering where things will go next. That is a new trend in your writing these days (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Very romantic, sad and memorable. Like the other reviewer said I felt watching a movie. You know how to impress the ladies and the readers too. Your secrets are in the open and kept.

This story told could fit into any true scenario. Very real like a script for a movie or play based on true events.
