Paris, London, Basel or Barcelona

Paris, London, Basel or Barcelona

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Some new words.

"

Paris, London, Basel or  Barcelona....

We were wanderlust, whiskey kisses and sleeping till noon.

We loved clotheless mornings and afternoon meals.

We loved loud music and we loved the sea.

I would tell you when I watched you undress,

you leave me breathless.

You would dance for the afternoon sun bare-a*s and with a smile.

We love the hotels near the sea or the rivers.

Naked we were in our words,

naked we were in our emotions.

We loved Paris, London, Basel and Barcelona.

When you came to me, straddle me and you sang to me.

“Please stay with me by the sea,

please let’s sing and dance to the rising moon.

Let’s become Gypsies and sleep near the sea, near a flowing river.

I want open sea, I want a river flowing to the powerful sea.

I want us to taste free days, taste Scottish whiskey and never be afraid.

I want to know life is the free roads, never, locked doors.”

I whispered to my kind love. I want these days to never end.

You are Gypsy love and I shall love you,

forever and a day.

Sleeping and dancing, whiskey and water. Love making. Breathlessness. Nakedness. All of it transcending the physical, and emotional, with a reluctance on both sides to come back to the real world. This world is far better and I agree. I love the image you added to this piece, as I could see her dancing, twirling, inviting your gaze. Wonderful.

Thank you dear LouBelle. I tell people. When love is near. Make the days and nights never-ending.

I live in a land of "never-locked doors"!!! Just that one detail says so much. You do this kind of wordcrafting all the time, where one punchy phrase throws down a ream of reminiscing. This makes me want to write a poem like a careless, enthusiastic romp . . . about the time I ended up in a backwoods Big Sur cabin with a guy who had the biggest bed I ever saw in my life. Why haven't I ever written about our romp on that humongous bed? You make me want to right such wrongs (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You are mesmerizing your reader with romance, with reasons of aliveness. You paint a lovely picture in their minds. You tell them to enjoy the moments, the scenery, the settings, the embraces. Wow
