The untold story

The untold story

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Good song and some words.

"
                             The untold story
I have wore a necklace of pig skin rope and white crystal for 35 years. My most prize thing I keep now, upon my neck. Once a celestial beauty, we danced in life as one for a California Summer and California Fall season. She was wild child and she was filled with the madness of wanting to test life and challenge death. She was fearless and she made the sleeping man come alive. Now I write to my journal.

"We were rainbow chasers,
we were cloud dancers,
we were waterfall seekers and
we were were waves dancers.

We loved the carousel of  unknown beginnings and endings.
Seeking the highest mountain to climb,
rocking and rolling with the largest Pacific Winter storm waves.
Maybe we were brave, maybe we were insane?

She taught me the world could be black,
she taught me the world can be light.
She taught me,
a life not lived.
Wasn't lived.

Now I write lyrics into a book,
words about a damsel,
who loved the whiskey and loved to be bare-a*s at Big Sur.

Adoring memories I need now.
Now I teach my grandchildren.
To be rainbow chasers,
to make butterfly wishes and be fearless.
Now old man and three boys.
They dance with Lake Huron,
seek the hidden waterfalls and to love the deep forest.

I pray the prettiest and kindest lady in Monterey,
she is still dancing with with the Pacific,
climbing the Big Sur hills, watching the sun rise and fall.
I wish one day to tell her.
Thank you my sweetest gal for teaching me to be brave and fearless."
I roll the white crystal in my hands and I tell Lake St. Clair. Thank you for showing me. Life is more than me. Thank you kind nature for showing me, we are the master of life. We can test life, live free and be wild in heart. Or wait for death, wishing we celebrate the birth of every new day. Live my friend. What you do today. This is what is important. Yesterday is gone and done. Life is now.

Chasing those rainbows can be dangerous...but if we didn't do it, we wouldn't have lived.
Danger is that sensual high we cannot live without...
falling into relationships was like falling from a plane
and hoping the chute would open.

Love this, Coyote.

I imagine you are such a blessing as a father. The best things you can teach your children is to be free and not be afraid of the unknown.

:) you're welcome, Coyote.
Some special people come into our lives for these very reasons that I loved in this story. They show us things about life and about ourselves. Things even we didn't know. Not everyone gets to live their dreams, to see such wild and blissful days in their youth. You were blessed you danced with rainbows and danced with waves. And this wisdom so precious, you pass on to your grandchildren.

The last three words are the most important in the poem. To have such a teacher in youth is a rare privilege. Such memories can stand by one as the years mount up. This is the time when so many emotionally throw in the towel.
