Mercy, please.

Mercy, please.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Thinking too hard and writing too honest.

"
Mercy, please...

(My wish. Everyone does one gift of kindness. Share money, if you can. Share kind words and a smile. All of us need the mercy of kindness.)

I told her, I love you. I miss you. You were my kindest friend and I am sorry. I fell so low, I couldn't see the light of hope no-more. She wrapped her arms around me and she whispered. Johnnie, Johnnie. You ain't alone. I am here and I will keep you safe and sound. Please stay with me.

I told her. I am deep in s**t and my mind is gone. My heart is sleeping and I remember you. Maybe you can't save a man who doesn't want to be saved. My journey had led me to deep sadness and pro-found understanding. You pay for every sin, we do.

She brought me close, she held me, like a child and she sang to me.

"Ain't no angels here on earth, just us fools dancing on the dangerous dreams. We wanted too much, we wanted too little. Our greedy hearts learn too late. Love is life, life is love. I am here for you. I love you so and you are not alone."

I looked into her eyes of golden brown and I told her. We can swim or drown, we can drink or not? We can live or die? Maybe I am so damn weary and mistress hope is gone?

She kissed my face, my lips. She whispered. Please Johnnie, fall into me. You are not alone. Please stay with me till we can find hope in each other. I want your smile again, I want your laughter again. Please talk to me and please stay with me till we are brave again.

I looked into her beautiful face, I held her soft and tender hands. I asked her. Why my kind friend? She smiled. She told me. Do you remember you saved me often? The mercy of your kindness, the mercy of your friendship had saved me often. Now I need to return the mercy of your kindness. I love you so.

I told her. I will stay with you and thank you my kindest friend. I love you too.

I will always admire a man like You, a man who expresses his feelings his ways, gaining strength from this instead feeling "weak" as many men will do. believe me, a real woman will never find a man who is connected to his inner and revealing them weak, she will find him a real man, a honest man, a man who has no fear living in truth, a true Warrior, she will even fall more and more deep into him... beautiful, emotional, very touching piece my dear friend, touched me in a way that stirred me to share my own thoughts.

Thank you dear friend. All of us have demons hidden.
A heartbreaking read but these words are a reflection of life. We all have our cross to bear and sins to carry. To some they are very heavy burdens but often they are not alone in their weight. The love of others lighten the load. Faith is not always a religious contextual ideology but at its most valued times our most human. It aspires us toward our greater humanity. To be better despite our failings. it is love that guides us on that journey.
