I remember you, do you remember me?

I remember you, do you remember me?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

True love cannot be forgotten.

"

Poem one"

Once we had the Spring days,

once we knew the sweetest kisses,

once I loved you and you loved me.

Poem two"

Yesterday girl is drinking alone,

yesterday girl had accepted the darkness of the tavern.

The yesterday girl whispered into her shot glass of whiskey.

Do you remember me, I remember you..

Poem three"

The bar poet told the mirror,

I am young once and I knew the gift of love.

Love was holy, love was so beautiful.

Dear Sheena, I didn’t know.

I would love you forever…

Three short poems to remember past loving. Love is not forgotten easily. I feel sure you will be remembered too Coyote. It is nice to think our footprints will be remembered. Thank you fior the gift of your poetry. I think we do much reflecting as we age.

You are so correct John. Love is never forgotten. These are lovely little kisses of literature. They cover all sides of love.

I agree my friend.
I imagine many poets have spoken to the mirror while drowning their sorrows over past mistakes or lost loves. Nothing drives one to the liquor as much as loneliness. Love can be a wonderful thing but it is sorely missed when it is lost. Then one can only muse on all those yesterday's. I enjoyed your vignettes, Coyote. Nice to read you again. 💛

Thank you dear Marina. I appreciate the comment. Love teaches us many lessons.
Beautiful poems. Nicely written. Sometimes memories, the good ones, are enough to keep us going.

Drinking is even more expensive when alone with nothing but memories.
I was young once too...but not very smart in love.
