When will we have enough war?

When will we have enough war?

For Ukraine...

When we have enough war?...
Once a small child on the beach. The photo broke the world's heart. We did not learn.
Russians shooting into cities, Russians shooting at public buildings. The bombs destroying once beautiful cities. Million are running from war. millions are homeless now.
Ukraine isn't the first, won't be the last. Today many countries are being attacked for their land and their wealth.
Can the men of war, be stopped? Can the men of greed, be stopped? Maybe they cannot?
My grandchildren are getting older. I was raised-up with Vietnam body counts. I found my wars and I learn. No-one win in war.
I do not want my grandchildren fighting in old men war, old men hate.
The world watches the attack on Ukraine. One alive, strong and powerful country fighting for their homeland.
I pray Ukraine can win. How do you stop the evil men? When the evil men control this world.
I pray we learn. The world is getting smaller. We must work together or watch the evil men take down us, one by one.
I pray our leaders stand with Ukraine. I stand with Ukraine.

That photograph of the drowned toddler haunts....and so it should. A constant reminder of the evil of warmongers. Men in power who abuse that power. I fear for my grandchildren as you do Coyote. Your words here, penetrate deep. All decent peace loving people ask the same questions? How do we stop the warmongers? How we would love to know. Great writing.

Thank you dear Donna. I am worrying for my world.
I really loved the part of you not wanting your descendants fighting old men’s wars. That was a brilliant line! Old wars and old hate but this is so one sided but is being made two, so sad! Well done!
