We didn't know... I didn't know..A Poem by Coyote PoetryFor April poetry month, number four....We didn't know... I didn't know... --- I called Sheena in Scotland in the Winter of 1980 and I told her. Beautiful Sheena, I miss you so and I am so sorry. She whispered dear Johnnie, I forgave you. I wasn't enough, you wanted everything. I heard her crying and I told her. Thank you dear Sheena and I cannot forgive myself... ---- We didn't know, I didn't know. The cloak of love was so damn sweet. We made butterflies wishes and we swam in the kindness of love. If I knew. Love was dandelions wishes, that cannot come true. Coyote © 2022 Coyote PoetryAuthor's Note
