August new poetry number four.

Things lost, things found...

My scattered memories reappear in wild dreams.

I remember forgotten face,

I remember forgotten places and

I remember the last conversations with great people, I have known.

Things lost, things found.

Just building blocks of a life,

the lessons making us wiser and stronger.

Our dreams is where we gather a life lived.

Once we were the students of great people and now,

we are the teachers of the children today.

I pray my mentors can see me trying to be like them.

I am teaching my grandchildren the right ways of life.

Like I was taught.

In life,

we are always the student and the teacher.

The children are watching us.

We must set the example of leading with concern,

kindness and we must listen, not lecture.

One day I will meet my teachers, my mentors.

I will thank them for showing me how to life.

The children are so important Coyote. I try to teach my grandchildren the importance of kindness and the love of our environment. I also try to talk to them about the gift of poetry. That one is more difficult for them to understand :) Thank you for the gift of yours.

I like the idea of being a student and a teacher simultaneously. It is when we feel we have nothing more to give or to learn that we start to die.
