Dangerous woman.

Dangerous woman.

Dangerous woman...
She was dressed in her tight black dress showing off her strong legs and her pale skin. Her dark eyes surveyed him with interest. He knew, she would be his instrument of demise. She moved like a feral cat and for a second. He forgot the whiskey, he forgot the sin and he believed in love.
Her eyes demanded his attention and she smiles and she asked him.  Dark Monterey poet, you love me and you love the twisted dance, we do. You adore my darkness and somehow. You and me. We end up alone by the sea. Are you chasing me? or am I chasing you?
Brave men, who seek darkness and they are willing to die for her. You believe in the miracle of love. Dear Johnnie, there are no miracles. Just dangerous ladies, needing kind voice and the whiskey.
You damn poets, you cannot die. You will, just write a dirty poem about a lady who wanted more than you did. I do like your ancient face, you are so damn young and I can see a million sins in those dancing hazel eyes.
Maybe you are the black hearten man, wanted everything and you love the Devil kiss?
The jazz was good and the night was young. He told her. Veronica, dear Veronica, I love you so. I need a thousand kisses and the liar prayers moon is above us tonight. It is almost the Devil hours and the midnight hours are coming. I can hear the sea calling our names and let's us, find the sea and we can sing to the moon above us. We can dance with the Pacific and I fear one things only dear Veronica. You will tell me, no.
She smiled and she whispered. You can make me smile and I do need the Devil kiss tonight. Yes Johnnie, tonight you and I.
We will dance for the Goddess of the sea and maybe. I can make you smile too.

For some reason, there are times when we are aware of danger looming before us but plunge forward regardless. I get such a feeling from this one. The poet senses the woman before him is a femme fatale but throws caution to the winds anyway. For her part, the woman is likewise aware of the situation, knows the way she affects men and loves it. I hope the resulting damage was not of the ground zero variety.

Yes John, we do. Maybe I can do again. Thank you for reading and the comment, my friend.
Sounds like an evening. You set the seen so beautifully. I think it would be a difficult invitation to say no to.

Veronica is a perfect name for a siren.
