The sins of our fathers.A Poem by Coyote PoetryOur mentors, our father. They teach us.The sins of our father’s.A Poem by Coyote Poetry
(My father at sixty-one in 1998. The only time, he saw my daughter. The war and boozed killed him a month later.) Father’s eyes and anger My Father.. The sins of the fathers… My father fought in wars. He was a Mexican/Ojibwa man with no place to go. He demanded respect and never allow anyone to He told me. “You will get a education and make them respect you. My father watched me succeed. Now I have lived a good life. My father’s sins made me go in the right He asks me once. “Remember son. You must pray for me. Children must pray for I pray he is with his Soldier brother’s in paradise. Drinking to a good day. I believe a kind God forgive the sins of men/soldiers lost in the turmoil of hate and prejudice. The sins of our father’s must teach us the better road. Coyote © 2022 Coyote PoetryAuthor's Note
