Bittersweet goodbye..A Poem by Coyote PoetryVery old poem with a re-write.Bittersweet goodbyeA Poem by Coyote Poetry
Bittersweet goodbye…. I walked up to her house. An angelic face answered the door. I was leaving the Army. I came for closure. We entwined two lives for a year. Now she is crying. I went to the Army P.X. and Silence is necessary. A young woman broke my heart. Now forgiveness and kindness are all Sweet and beautiful Daniela I whispered I came to say goodbye the right way. Her blue eyes looked into mine. I kissed her forehead. The only offense would be if we don’t try to love. Will always bring a smile. I sat and baby sit Daniela for three days. I left her with no words of love. Just a bittersweet goodbye. Coyote © 2023 Coyote PoetryAuthor's Note
