Praying to St. Clare de pobre on a sunny day..

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

Old muse is kicking in.

"
Praying to St. Clare de pobre on a sunny day..
I have gave up, I have given in. I was so tired.
I decided I had enough and I didn't want to move.
I decided to wait for death by Lake St. Clair.
I knew death was a patience god and I could live a-day,
I could live a week. I could live 40 more years.
I love Lake St. Clair.
She was name for St. Clare de pobre by a French explorer in 1679.
I have always felt safe here.
I sat near the Clinton river leading into Lake St. Clair and
I wanted St. Clare de pobre to come and sit with me.
To tell me, I am alright.
I closed my eyes and I listen to the river.
I knew she would not come and
her memory was enough for me.
After a time,
I felt peace and calmness and I told the Lake St. Clair.
No-one will die today and tomorrow will come.

nothing more peaceful and serene than sitting by your favorite lake, named after an explorer.....it's place of meditation, and dreams; one feels protected there, safe there and one wanted to die, this would be the place....but there is sometimes tomorrow.
Lovely John.
