Dear Jenny..A Poem by Coyote PoetryApril is poetry month. I will attempt to write 30 new poems. This poem is number one.( I will attempt 30 new poems for April. The Poetry month. Now I begin. ) Dear Jenny.. I found you and I lost you dear Jenny in Michigan. I remember us. We knew joy and we never said a proper goodbye. Was a early September night and you came to me. We made no promises and we told no lies. You were a beautiful butterfly to me, never to be held down. Eighteen and so fearless. I knew I was old in spirit and you were a fresh blooming Spring flower. I remembered we drink, I remember we danced and we never left my apartment. In December. You wandered from me and I allowed to escape. I knew. Can’t capture a free spirit and we did not seek love. We sought kindness, we sought a gentle voice in the night. Now I write words for a memory. Thank you dear Jenny and I remember you. And I pray you had found the things you needed.
