My Florence beautiful flower.

1- In the Spring,

Florence is gorgeous and the young and old women smile at me.

I return their gift of their smiles, and I feel the warm sun upon face.

I told the ancient city. Dear Florence, I need an Italian girl kiss.

2- Marcella told me on the telephone.

It is late May and I miss you.

Florence is so beautiful, the flowers are blooming and I need my laughing American

I told her. Dear sweet girl. I will see you in early June.

I will bring my dancing shoes, too much money and I will never leave you.

Marcella told me. I will wait for you in our coffee shop by the river.

We will drink coffee, hold hands and re-write a story with too many goodbyes.

3- I told her, she was the prettiest flower in the city of Florence.

She gave me a hundred kisses and she told me.

You kept your promise to me.

You came to me to Florence and found me in our favorite coffee shop.

Thank you, dear Johnnie.

I told her. I had no place to go, and no-one was missing me, except you dear Marcella.

You are my first and last wish in my messy life.

Marcella took my hands and she kissed them both and she told me.

We found each other in our saddest days once and you saved me.

Now I will save you my dear Johnnie.

Paris has a beating heart, Montmartre and the Louvre; London has its royalty (most of the time!), the Thames and surreal elegance.

But, Rome has superb and oft famous architecture, beautiful women and elegant men; opera houses, a great collection of art galleries; handsome footballers and more!
