The things left undone done.
A Poem by

April is poetry month. New poetry number thirty.
VIDEO The thing left undone.
1- I told my children. Never leave with anger in your voice. Come to my home
and we will talk. No problem cannot be fixed. We can’t undo negative words spoken.
2- When are you leaving someone. Do you question your last words to them?
Once I left for wars and I came home to empty houses. Dear people, who cared for me.
Had left my world while I was away. Did I thank them for taking care of me.
Graveyard prays are okay, but you regret the words you didn’t say.
I try to be kinder to my family and my friends. No more lectures.
I hope one day to join dear grandparent, my parent and my mentors again.
3- Let’s kiss and part. Let our last words be hopeful and sweet.
Let’s hold hands and hug. Ensure the people you love know.
They are not forgotten and they have a safe place to return to.

Wow! Life is kick, we live a journey where we speak, act never realizing what one we'll regret, it better to give than take.
Thank you for sharing

Coyote,
I'm old enought to havev many large gaps where people I loved used to be. I celebrate the ones who left me here longing for them, their voice, their particular way of making eye contact, the memories we shared, and am happy I got to be with them. There were other important ones though, who left before we could reconcile over hurts, whether real or imagined, and at their funerals, I cry and mourn. It is more important than wwe know to kiss and make up, so when we slide over to the other side, we don't mind so much...

Very good advice spoken from experience. Never part with harsh words from someone dear. There may never be an occasion for renewal.
