Soilder
The disalusioned dreams of a soilder at war,
Just wanting to come back home to you,
Not wanting to go the rainy days alone anymore,
Just wanting to be back with you,
Reliving all the good times,
Just regreting the bad,
"I miss you" are the words stuck on the tip of his tongue,
Just stuck because he can’t face the truth,
The truth that tomorrow might never come,
Just an empty promise,
All he can feel is the rain,
Just needing this wet feeling to know he’s alive,
It’s pouring down hard,
The memories and the rain,
An eerie combination,
He can almost taste the last kiss,
It seems like forever,
He can almost not bare,
This wishing in the trench,
He can no longer sleep,
You haunt his dreams,
He is restlessly lost in thought,
It doesn’t look good he knows,
He just wants to go home,
He’s wondering what your doing,
Wanting to be at your side,
Holding you tight,
"I love you" is all he can think,
The meaning of love he discovered when he left,
To soon noticed,
But always taken for granted,
He pulls out the pictures,
Finds a piece of you there,
It’s like finding gold to him,
Even though he won’t show it,
Your spinning in his head.
