What do you do?

I'm no poet... This is not a poem...It's just a thought...

What do you do

when life gets in the way?

 

What do you do

when there's no obvious solution?

 

What's the road to take?

Where will it lead?

 

It seems I'm alone in this.

 

And if I reach a hand

will anybody reach back?

Or will I just stand there

hand outstretched?

 

What if I shout "Help"?

Will someone come to my aid?

Or will my voice just

resonate in the distance?

 

"Don't despair!" I try to talk myself into.

"Something better will come up." I say.

 

But when troubles seem a downpour

What do you do?

When you jump, the safety net suddenly appears. Human nature is difficult to figure out....and perhaps no one ever will. We all have these strong feelings ~ and uncertainties, you write with many questions provoking your reader to think.... for each downpour there is a sunny day and we hold on to that.

I like the Big "what ifs" but i love how the poem moves on. Even though you have all these questions you don't stay in the same place. Granted I see you walking in a huge circle but moving all the more. Nice job. Very nice.

This is really effective, I like the imagery it makes me think of and I really like the last line. In itself, that resonates and leaves the reader to his own thought. Well, it certainly made me think anyhow. Nice Job :)
