What is This?

This was wrote for someone who never saw it and probably never will.

Heart beating ever so quickly
Pounding against my chest
Knocking against ribs
That cages my heart inside of me
Breath quickens to a rapid pace
Hands shake with anticipation
Nerves shot
Which caffeine brought
What has come over me?
Does my heart belong to me?
Never felt like this before
Am I damned?
Or have I been saved?
Feeling my hearts pace
Quicken ever so
Caffeine didn’t bring this
What is in store?
Is this what love feels like?
