The Tired HeartA Poem by CerA small tale of a tired heart put in the race where its worth was always questioned. But don't worry, this poem isn't where I tell it to give up, but go on till the very end ~♡Childhood is awesome, free- from the shackles of reality that start weighing on us the moment we hit puberty. The beautiful fantasies about being adults start hitting too hard; shattering like glass we must walk upon. The journey is the same for many, but somewhere along the way they diverge- each having its quiet battles. Battles fought, battles lost, and even battles forgotten pave our way to a future that must be “perfect” some say. Superficial words make our days, their praises fade with no delay, empty promises make our world- “just these few years,” they say but when do they stop? And yet, somehow, the guilt of not being enough still weighs on us. With heavy minds and ragged breaths, we must fight on till the very end. Let the song finish and we shall rest- just take this as a test. Let’s not slip and wander blind into the folds of darkness; into forever nights. © 2025 CerAuthor's Note
