This Kinda Love

Love isn't as simple as breathing, but as complex as time. Something that can't be turned or brought back, it's something we have to cherish while it lasts ~♡

They say love is waiting,

that the right kind of love finds you eventually.

But nobody tells you how exhausting that wait can be.

Some days I crave you more, 

some days I don’t. 

Sometimes even minutes feel like hours, 

and hours like days.

While sometimes I waste away.

I’m just hoping you’re not also wishing the same; 

we can’t both be sitting in a corner,

 waiting for one another.

I hope you grow through heartbreaks, 

if that’s what it takes. 

Because all this waiting has got me expecting,

for you to always be my safe place.

Because I’ll never break your heart"

that’s one thing for sure, 

and I hope you don’t break mine either.

Let’s meet each other halfway;

 no one has to take the full weight. 

It can be 70-30 or 20-80"

Heck, even 0-100 if, 

at the end of the day, 

we understand each other the same.

A perfect relationship was never the aim. 

I hope you’re out there, 

gaining from all those life lessons and pain.

I’m also learning and growing, 

to be the person you deserve.

Love is never meant to be a steady nerve.

Let’s work on ourselves,

 till we’re ready for each other. 

So when the time comes, 

we sit together, 

a second home to one another.
