My Roses

Emotions I feel, 

are like a thread

Easy to break 

but strong enough to be held 

Gentle, 

not rough, 

they like to be handled with care

Reminded, 

that they’re nothing but fair

If I give them to you, 

they’re nothing but true.

Wrapped with love and delivered to you, 

all truest parts of me, 

I present to you.

All you need to do is notice them, 

and they’ll shower on you like roses.

Just welcome them with care, 

don’t forget that 

you’re the one they've chosen. 

They aren’t perfect, 

got their own little bruises 

But when treasured enough, 

they bloom like roses.

And if they feel too much, 

I’ll give you a soft reminder

You’re allowed to let go…
