Bliss

Bliss

A Poem by Cer
"

How ironic that this world is comforting yet suffocating at the same time.

"

What bliss it seems to close my eyes forever,

Like a flower bloomed,

wishes to wither away faster,

Like the sand in an hourglass

wants to slip away quicker,

The world’s in a nutshell of time.

Those who chase it are lost to it forever

One can’t outrun its arms

when they’re wrapped around it in ever.

Everland, a myth

carrying candles of wishes for it to turn into reality.

Wrap us in its slumber,

fantasise us a whole new actuality.

The candle flame on my table flickers,

like my faith in humanity.

What can one do surrounded by inequality?

To end it all sounds like bliss,

a gratitude-filled kiss as the ground beneath me shifts.

To everything there is a season. Flowers. Candles. Even despair...
But a season only. 🪶
