Denial

Controversy, controversy
that's all life is.
Life is a gamble,
but I don't bid.
Folly is laughter,
but I don't kid.
Hard to remember
the things I did.
I refuse to think
about how I live.
Because if I do
I know I'll cry.
My heart shall bleed
and then I'll die.
So all I can do
is shut out
because that's what living
is all about.
