Hush the Distant Roar of Darkness

Hush the Distant Roar of Darkness

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

Where sweetness separates each breath...........

"

I cannot hear even a whisper

when daylight stretches
into my dreamer’s sea
to hush the distant roar of darkness.

When the sun lies upon the lips
resting on all the wonder
before my eyes.

I am speechless as I find
the valley of golden roses
where sweetness
separates each breath
of beauty I inhale.

Pure joy brushes in waves
across the skies
and swirls down
upon the mountains
as I am gently held
by the hand of morning.

How could I possibly
tell the comfort
of my dreamer’s sea
that I wish for the moon
to continue shining down so free.

When I have been captured
by the beauty
that glanced my way
when daylight stretched out
his golden hand to me.

Haha I am exactly the opposite! I am like a zombie getting out of the bed in the morning. I shuffle about to do tasks bathe, change and feed Brody and around 9 or 10 I am semi-awake. Anyway this is beautiful and captures your love for the morning! Another great write! Much love!

I can relate to this...
You have captured the morning with all the vivid, beautiful colours, the way everything seems "golden", hence I love the repetition. You want to capture the painting that is the sky, the "swirls" and the taste of "sweetness".
A great poem that really distills the moment.
