The Wildest Loneliness

The Wildest Loneliness

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

Often, I stand in the corner of all I have missed then find myself walking proudly beside the wildest loneliness lying deep inside of my stubborn heart.

"

Sometimes, it seems that everything
my heart keeps as truth
I take with me
and lock deep inside of I am sorry
as I breathe the air twisted in the places
where I sleep.
Yet, there still exist nights
where there is no bed I can dream in
where I do not hear a melody
that feels naturally sweet.

Often, I stand in the corner
of all I have missed
then find myself walking proudly
beside the wildest loneliness
lying deep inside of
my stubborn heart.
Then suddenly,
my head clears inside of a silence
and I write poems
from the hands of angels
until the wildest loneliness
has to part.

I've read this several times without knowing how to comment on it. I think mostly because I am a thinker, and this piece goes beyond just thoughts. The imagery and emotions invoked by the words are more important here (IMO) then what the words actually say.

You invoke feelings and images through the words and I have trouble expressing how well you've done with it because I can not use my head to describe my reactions.

I can only say that from where I stand, this piece, accidental or not, has a real genius touch to it.

I love this Neva, how powerful you can explain the duality between being strong, and feeling alone. It takes much power to do, and much strength to woreship, as I feel and know exactly what you mean. The wildest loneliness, is the richest strenght mostly. Thank you for such a wonderful you, woven always through your excellent writings. Love to you! xxx

How do you keep doing this Neva..? you know, writing such wonderful, meaningful, heartfelt, stunning, awesome poetry. I run out out of adjectives to describe what you do...seriously.
I can only say, keep 'em coming...we'll keep reading.
Another masterpiece Neva. Relatable and pertinent.

This is a very beautiful piece as well as the magnificent stance you have made in the picture. It fits perfectly and wonderfully. You have displayed the longingness and emotions in your poem. Very good!

"walking proudly beside the wildest loneliness" this is an amazing image and enigma...I know it but I also don't...which is why poetry is so sweet. I like your seemingly simple start...but the complexity just takes over and I am lost in truth and mystery. It seems that loneliness is an entity that we have been making love to for too long??? Your writing inspires...thanks!!!

This is great, loved how you reflect on your lonliness that inspires art in the end. In a way it makes us all think and we all feel like something guides us to do what we come to love!

This is an emotion that most of us don't like to admit to. We hide it from others and lock it up so that we seem happy. We cant be happy every second of everyday and I thank God for my ability to write poetry for it allows me a way to vent those pent up emotions and relate to others. THis poem is real, true and delicate.
