"My Hole"

"My Hole"

A Poem by Cheesecake Czar
"

Old 8th grade poem.

"

I lived in a hole now for quite a few years,

Trudging my way forward, sucking up tears,

The walls of my hole kept me safe and warm,

But then doubts that it was the best life started to swarm.

I realize now, there is no life more empty than this,

Never felt the free air or the warmth of a kiss,

I used to think then that those things didn't matter,

They wouldn't help, they wouldn't happen, but mostly the latter.

Now I want to go for it, hold it by the hand,

Before my small hourglass loses more sand.

Too long I've been digging myself into a hole,

Getting out now is finally my goal.

About
Writing? I guess I do that sometimes. A writer? Maybe if I devoted more time. Writing, for me, is more often than not an outlet for any emotions I may have. I'd love to practice it more than I do .. more..
