Deserted

Deserted

A Poem by Chehakagarwal

All I can hear is the whistling winds
The sultry weather taking over my mind.
The abandoned land, filled with sand
And only one thing visible to my eyes.
I want to take over all this land,
This vast, undesirable, barren ground.
I am certain that I can change and so
I swayed, striving to keep my dominance
Never reasoning about my frame
Which was stuck with the desire to dominate.
Now my visage is full of sweat
Not with fresh but a frown
Cause I was not able to move a step forward
But the crowd has crossed all bounds.
The Sahara is where we learn
A flower can grow in extreme
Only when it is not austere enough
To keep a grim face while crossing the
stream.
Just like the sand shift to form dunes
A human should move,
Swift serene and sit where it should.
